Several years after receiving my first commands I looked for very old churches which were started by Christ's apostles and had been changed very little by canonical (man's laws). I found several little churches one hour's drive away. The churches had many pluses such as being autocephalous (self-governing) in The United States, which was one of my many preferences. See Orthodox Church in America (OCA). The head priests answered my question:" If there is a conflict about a situation, who would be correct, the Bible or the church?" He answered properly: "the Bible. "I'm very fortunate to be located in the middle of several OCA churches -- all about a hour's drive away.
