The Institute of Formal Social Sciences

The cutting edge of metaphysical research.    ( humanistic metaphysics; intellectual technology )

To formally define the ideas of all human affairs, begin with the necessary universal origin, nothing and something. These correspond to the numbers zero and one. Plato seems to have regarded it as obvious and well-known in his time that a being is a one. So does Aristotle say that, in Metaphysics, Book Iota, 2. From non-being and being, he continues: relation, potential, actual. After Christ a more immediate, less detached set came into use by Augustine, On Immortality, that is, life, mind, art, to which was added by the time of Leibniz' correspondence with Arnaud, expression. Since what remains without those and prior to them is nothing but boundless empty space, the humanistic set becomes, in full, universe, life, mind, art, expression. Observe that each depends on what comes before, and follows if anything does. Therefore they are a numerical sequence. Similarly the next humanistic universal element is understanding, which is the basis of all society. In order to accord with that as a standpoint, adopt it as the base or radix of the numerical orthography, which we may dub, ideo-quinary. Using as numerals the initials u for universe, l for life, m for mind, a for art, e for expression, the numbers are u, l, m, a, e, lu, ll, lm, la, le, mu, ml, mm, ma, me, au, al, am, aa, ae, eu, el, em, ea, ee, luu, lul, lum, lua, lue, llu, and so on. These could be arranged in a format of five columns by five lines, but since you can think of that mentally, it would be useless to write for reference, and what would be useful for reference, together with the mental table of numbers is a table of the prime factors of those numbers, in that format:
u l m a mm
lu m a lm ma am
m lu ml mm a ma m lm
a lu me am m am ae
mm lu a lm m ml ea ma a
Call that the u-block. Continue, five blocks per page, for five pages, up through the ee-block.
At the same time, to develop a fluent understanding of the numbers, write translations into English on a separate page alongside the page with the table on it. Choose words that best express the ideas, words that will serve as mnemonics, not by being eight letters or three letters but by translation into English, and at least examples of the essential ideas embodied in the numbers. By their regular mathematical usage they become technical terms, in effect, in which sense you can read the finished chart.
The analysis of primes is by position only, which is to say according to what adds up to each of them. It is appropriate to analyze the composition of composite numbers as well by listing the one or more ways in which two lower numbers multiply to produce them. In the interpretive terms, the English translation, the corresponding operations are logical sum and logical product. Work on yet another piece of paper. List the productions, and translate alongside. For example, 36 = 2 x 18, 3 x 12, 4 x 9, 6 x 6. Writing in ideo-quinary, list first row, m aa, second row, a mm, third row, e le, fourth row, ll ll, and write the translations alongside them, quoting what you have decided about each factor earlier, as you studied it, in order. Then interpret the current number according to this factoring and to what adds up to it as shown in its position in the table. For example, apparently mm = ml + l, mu + m, le + a, la + e, lm + lu, ll + ll. Write this in your analysis, with translation. Then see what all that says, and choose a word that denotes that comprehensive analysis. To make the writing of the sums easier as the list of addends gets long, make a slide-rule on two strips of paper, one for words in a column downward, the other in reverse order. Adjusting the alignment of the strips, the sums will appear without rewriting the whole list, only adding one word at a time, as you proceed through the succession of analyses.
It will take you more than a few hours to become more than a little satisfied with what you have written. You may want to revise it on further readings, as you think of improvements you would prefer. By all means do so. Your results may continue to improve over days, weeks, months, years. This embodies the fact that each increment in the basic sequence, which you are acting out, is an increment of life. That sequence being universal, it is omnipresent, and therefore ever manifest in your work. The difficulty you are overcoming has baffled the best minds for centuries. You are entitled to enjoy discovering a new field of knowledge. Your life is after all truly the life of humanity, and the labor and benefit of this fundamentally important work will occupy mankind for a long time.
Observe that the table proceeds from the most most general, the simplest factors in simplest combination, to the particular, the higher and more complicated. Choose your interpretations accordingly, to match. As you finish the tabulation up through the ee-block, with opposite page translation of the numbers into English, you will arrive at self-realization, or in other words coming into the presence of God. It is a methodical error of embodiment of alienation for you to expect to get the results from somebody else.
Having done this much you will qualify as an operative in the field, and thus qualify to co-operate with me and others who are similarly qualified. If you find this interesting please write to me. My address is IFSS, 3171 East Maple Road, Jefferson, OH 44047, U. S. A.

My hope is that you have or will develop your own interpretations. My views are available below.
